I picked up the package at the UPS drop-off this afternoon.
Took a while to set it up in the tangle of cables in my small room.
Let it warm up for a bit and sampled some vinyl. Dekek and the Dominos’ “Layla” sounded better then ever before. Still a bit muddy but improved. Some Nina Simone and Sharon Jones leapt from the Royd Minstrel speakers like never before. Can’t understand the complaint about lack of bass. The “Harder They Come” disc had plenty, even at low volume.
Does run a bit warm but that’s the trade off for the sound.
